Current Interns

Lucas Curcio

Advancing the kingdom of God through the preaching of His Son, Jesus, is my life’s mission. I am determined to preach the true Gospel under no compromise to the truth. All for the glory of God and the salvation of others. I am currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Biblical studies for Pastor ministry.

I entered the MBC internship under the recommendation from a friend. On top of my college studies, the MBC internship gives me a unique first hand experience of ministry in a local church setting. It’s not just an intellectual matter, but a Christ-centered character growth program. Through the preaching class, specifically, I’m able to craft and improve my communication and sermon skills, which I will be able to use for the rest of my life.

In my free time I love to workout, read, and spend time with family and friends. Any questions, please contact me as I would love to talk or help in anyway I can!

Lucas is undertaking the Word and Pastoral Ministry stream.

Emma Fertile

I want to grow deeper in my knowledge of the Gospel and the internship at MBC enables me to do so. By writing papers after reflecting on the passage of Scripture, and then supplementary readings around the topic, enables me to be as informed as possible and therefore to be as effective as possible.

Emma is a Word Ministry intern.

Beth Hogan

Burdened for women in the local church, I have decided to be an intern at MBC so that I can be as best equipped to fulfil the Titus 2 mandate for women as possible. It is my hope to lead women into a deeper knowledge of the Gospel of Christ through teaching and intentional, intergenerational discipleship.

My primary job is to be a wife to my husband, Dan, and mom to my five children, Abby (at Bible College), Becky (serving with CEF), Sam (working), and John and Elijah (who are at school).

Beth is focusing on Word Ministry and Women’s Ministry in the local church.

Maggie Noakes

Although I may be the youngest intern, I am excited to be learning and growing in a serious environment that challenges me to think critically about what it means to handle the Word of God. Although I don’t know what I am going to do with my life, I know that I want to be effective in serving Christ, and the MBC internship will prepare me for that, wherever I go and whatever I do.

My other hobbies are school, reading, photography, and pranks.

Maggie is a Word Ministry and Women’s Ministry in the local church intern.
